Eternally at rest…

I can’t believe that I skipped almost 2 months without updating my blog; I guess I’m way too busy with my real life and facing too many problems at the same time. I don’t even have time to update my other social networking sites.

It’s been a saddening month for me as I lost one of my closest friends from my childhood. When I first heard the news, I couldn’t even function and my tears kept falling and I don’t know if I will believe it or not. There’s something I’ve wanted to tell him for so long, and not about any affection. I feel like I want to blame myself for not going there during the time my best friend told me to visit him because he’s weak. I don’t know if he’s in the hospital or what because they didn’t give me the full details. So I thought, it’s just normal sick. I posted something on his Facebook, I thought that he’s active and just realized that it was a spam application. Last August 27th, I asked how he is; at first I thought he’s ignoring me, ‘cause there’s a wall post every day.  I felt terrible even after a week or so, and he died… His mom passed away 2 years ago and his dad left them earlier this year, so only he and his sister are living alone and his brother has his own family.  His sister cannot afford to bring him to the hospital and what sucks is you cannot live in this country if you don’t have money.

You don’t have a choice between life and death without money. The only choice you have is death and that is the reason why he died. If only the hospitals in this country helped out people who can’t afford to pay medicine or anything just to rescue their lives. That would be one of the greatest changes that this country could ever offer. There are only few percent of hospitals who have a kind enough heart to let people live when they don’t have money. I really, really hate talking about money, and I hate that the world cannot function without money and that we need to live and deal with it.

R.I.P. Philip Lizano, I will miss you, those good times that we had when we are young together with our other friends, those jamming, singing, laughing trips and more… You may be dead physically but you will live forever in our hearts. Take care and we know you’re happy now where you are. We love you…

Happy Independence Day America

Days run so fast. If there are only magical spells that let me write all of the things I want to say, then it would be easier to update my blog.

I would like to greet all Americans out there with a very Happy Happy Fourth of July.

Before I slept last night, I was able to watch Eagle Eye. It was a nice film and I must say that I watched it at the right time. I don’t even know what the movie is all about, and then I realized it was a movie about Terrorism against United States. And some innocent people had been involved-activated to do what the mysterious girl on the phone asked for and tried to survive just to protect their love ones and the people of the United States as well.

Here’s the Trailer of the Movie, it was release last 2008.

Plot Outline: Eagle Eye is a race-against-time thriller starring Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Rosario Dawson, Anthony Mackie and Billy Bob Thornton. Jerry Shaw (LaBeouf) and Rachel Holloman (Monaghan) are two strangers thrown together by a mysterious phone call from a woman they have never met. Threatening their lives and family, she pushes Jerry and Rachel into a series of increasingly dangerous situations using the technology of everyday life to track and control their every move. As the situation escalates, these two ordinary people become the countrys most wanted fugitives, who must work together to discover what is really happening and more importantly, why. If everyone thinks that the 4th of July is only celebrated in real, it’s not. GameSamba, which is a game publisher of Realms Online (http://realmsonline.gamesamba.com/) celebrates their Dawn of Freedom 4th of July event.

Cyberzone’s Women of Cosplay 2011

It’s been very busy these last couple of days and I am still preparing my costume for Toycon 2011. Last Saturday, my team-mates in The Philippines’ X-MEN Cosplay Team assigned Anna and I to attend the Cyberzone’s Women of Cosplay 2011.

SM Cyberzone's Woman of Cosplay 2011

Cyberzone gave our team 5 slots to represent our group, but unfortunately, only Anna a.k.a. Storm and I are available. There’s 2 schedules for our team last Saturday, first the Toycon Presscon at Eurotel Function Room, Pedro Gil, Manila and 2nd the Women of Cosplay 2011.

I woke up around 6:00am in the morning and left around 7:00am. I arrived at the mall around 9:45am. I went to the Comfort Room to go pee pee and re-touch my makeup because I am perspiring. There’s a long walk from LRT2-Santolan Station to SM Marikina. A very long foot bridge is connected from the LRT Train to that mall, around 5-10 minutes’ walk depending on how fast you can go.

When I came back, they are already rehearsing; I took a couple of shots of the stage while heading towards them. The practice didn’t last long and I wasn’t able to do the rehearsal >.< Then they just briefed Anna and I to help me out. I was so nervous, I honestly felt like I didn’t deserve to be part of it, for me, there are so many Woman Cosplayers out there in PH who are well-known compared to me. I have Cosplayed only few characters.

I told one of the staff members that I am nervous and then I asked him why us (X-Men). He said, “To make a difference in the Cosplay Industry. Because, as we all know most PH Women Cosplayers portray Japanese-anime characters and since you guys are Cosplaying Superheroes, it makes you different than the others”. Anna and I were so touched, and we realized that he was right. 🙂

The Event started at 3:00pm and since the practice was over, I just hung-out and walked around the Mall while Anna went to Divisoria to buy a wig. I went to buy soap, extra socks, tissue and water. Then, when I came back there’s a free lunch, oh and btw, they also gave us a free breakfast.

The other female Cosplayers and I started to get dressed around 2:00pm. After putting my make up on, I took pictures of the Female Cosplayers with me.

I am so nervous but it was fun! The Event started and I am afraid to forget my Catwalk as Anna and I are the first people to walk. But everything goes well and the highlight of the Event is the catwalk of Ms. Alodia Gosiengfiao who is very successful in the Cosplay Industry and the first female Celebrity known because of her Cosplaying in the Philippines.

A Journey to a new chapter of my life

It’s been my dream to visit United States of America, a very powerful country with so many high technologies. However, I don’t have opportunity to visit USA, I don’t have any relatives living there, and I’ve known friends but only because of my work. Sometimes I am so jealous with other Filipino’s, asking myself why I belong to normal family. But, I know that if there is no poor and everyone is Social Climber, then the world will be imbalanced which causes terrorism. There is no perfection in each country and we all know that every country has its own flaws. I’ve been wishing for a day to come to visit the U.S.A.

Opportunity – Do you still believe that God listens? I prayed one day to give me one chance, just one chance to visit this country and then God leads the way. I’ve met people in a Gaming Company, and the latest Company wants to contract me, my business. I recently made my own business of marketing + photography. I know I don’t have much knowledge taking pictures. But, it’s not the editing of photos that makes you professional; it’s the image that you’ve captured by heart. The new company that I am in right now would love me to visit their offices and have training for a short period of time and of course they will be the one who sponsor me and take care of my expenses.

Challenges – Currently, I am going to face one of the biggest challenges in my life. I know for some people, it will be easy for them to get an interview by a Consular in the United States Embassy, not for me. By May 13th, I will have my interview to one of the Consular in the US Embassy, Manila. Some people might wonder why I choose the date of my birth day, my answer is it’s because it is Friday the 13th, everyone believes that it’s bad luck. If I pass, then it means that it’s a very good luck to start a journey to a new beginning.
